Ride Kalpitiya with the locals.
Kitesurf. Wingfoil. Stay. Explore.
Welcome to Kite Wing Brothers, a small local stay created by two brothers from Setthawadi, on the shores of Kalpitiya Lagoon.
We are Sifhan and Saheerkhan. We were born here, grew up beside the lagoon, and want to show you the Kalpitiya we know.
A Different Way to Experience Kalpitiya
Kalpitiya has become known around the world for kitesurfing, wingfoiling, lagoons and the Indian Ocean. But there is much more to the area than arriving, riding the main lagoon and leaving again.
Stay with local people. Ask where the wind is working. Discover the places beyond the tourist map. Eat locally. Meet the people who live here.
We want to show you our Kalpitiya.

Kitesurfing in Kalpitiya
Kalpitiya offers two main windy seasons and a variety of riding conditions, from the main lagoon to remote flat-water spots and the Indian Ocean.
Complete beginners can learn with professional instruction at Kalpitiya Lagoon, while independent riders can explore places such as Dream Spot, Vella Island, Navy Point and Donkey Point.
Wingfoil in Kalpitiya
Wingfoil is growing quickly in Kalpitiya. Not every part of the lagoon is deep enough for a foil, and that is exactly where local knowledge matters.
Our wingfoil equipment is kept at Kalpitiya Lagoon, a short distance from Kite Wing Brothers.
Stay in Our Tropical Hideaway
Two bungalows. Coconut trees. Private outdoor showers. And plenty of peace.
Sifhan and his family take care of the accommodation and will make sure you have what you need during your stay.
Work. Ride. Repeat.
Kalpitiya can also be a great base for remote workers who prefer nature, watersports and a quieter lifestyle to crowded coworking hubs.
Work when it is calm. Ride when it is windy.
More Than Wind
No wind? Go dolphin watching. Explore the peninsula. Discover local villages and the Indian Ocean.
Or do absolutely nothing beneath a coconut tree.
Meet the Brothers
We are Sifhan and Saheerkhan, two brothers from Setthawadi. Saheerkhan kitesurfs and wingfoils and spends much of his life around Kalpitiya Lagoon. Sifhan and his family take care of the resort and our guests.
This lagoon isn’t somewhere we discovered on holiday. It’s where we grew up.
Stay local. Ride local. Experience Kalpitiya.
